About Allison

Allison LaMarr is a motivational speaker, author, & coach.  She began her adult life on the “traditional” path: college, then marriage, then a corporate job.  But after complete boredom at the first job, an unexpected layoff from the second, and working like a dog to survive the corporate politics game at the third, she began to long for something more in life.  So she followed the trend of many other young professionals and enrolled in graduate school, thinking that would pave the way for a better life.  But she was still unfulfilled. After realizing that traditional methods perhaps weren’t going to produce the life of her dreams, Allison decided to take control of her life and try some less traditional methods to produce the results she was searching for.  She says that she was tired of settling for mediocrity in her life, and a strong desire to rise above the status quo allowed her to have a more open mind to the possibilities around her.   She began to realize that if she could overcome the peer pressure of conformity, she could actually take control of her situation and shape her own destiny.  Introduced to a well known direct sales and network marketing company, Allison saw the opportunity she was looking for to break out of the corporate “rat race”.  She decided to become one of their independent contractors, but not just to earn a few dollars on the side.  Allison had a vision of being at the top of the company, even though she didn’t have an ounce of sales experience.

With her friends, family, and former colleagues all questioning her sanity, Allison used that as fuel and motivation to drive her accomplishments.  She made the decision to treat her new business as just that - a business.  Not a hobby, a fundraiser, or a side project she pursued in her free time. She worked toward her goal with laser focus and 110% effort, and just a few months later she had replaced her corporate income and gained a new outlook on life.  Keeping her passion alive by constantly remaining focused on her goals, Allison became the fastest person in company history to reach their top independent position, breaking multiple records along the way.

Allison has applied the principles she learned along the way to other areas of her life and now makes it her passion to share them with the world. Allison believes “living your dream life is possible for everyone, but you must refuse to settle for anything less." Allison lives in Texas with her son, JD, and husband, James, an independent film producer and actor.  She travels around the world sharing her vision and principles, and her weekly eColumn “Digging Deeper” is read by thousands worldwide.
